Neil Mulcahy

Junior Assistant Coach

Neil has been coaching, teaching hockey and power skating for more than 30 years. He was a captain of SUNY Plattsburgh in 1987 and has a degree in Business Management. This past season Neil was an associate head coach for the Boston Hockey Academy 16U AAA team. Neil spent four seasons with Southern New Hampshire University in the NCAA as an assistant coach. Neil helped lead the team to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship in the 2018-19 season and a Northeast-10 Conference Regular Season title with a 14-4-0 conference record and 16-8-0 overall record in the 2021-22 season. Neil was an assistant coach for North Adams State College in the NCAA during the 1994-95 season.



Before coaching at Southern New Hampshire University, Neil had previously coached with the Middlesex Black Bears Junior Prep program as an associate head coach and skating / skills director for multiple teams in the organization. Neil has taken U15 and U12 teams over to the Challenger Cup Series in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2015. 

Neil also has coached with the Middlesex School in the Independent School League and the Boston Junior Harbor Wolves from the Eastern Junior Hockey League. Neil has worked for some prestigious power skating and skills programs such as Paul Vincent Hockey, Dynamic Skating and Hodge-10 skills. Neil also has experience working for the former Mass Satellite Program with some well known NCAA and Prep School coaches in their summer program. 

Neil is a native of Malden, Mass. and resides there. He is the father of two boys - Cameron and Chase.
