Jonah Williams

Coach U16

Jonah Williams is in his first season as an assistant coach for the American Hockey Academy 16u team. He also serves as the Director of Player Personnel for the Boston Jr. Terriers in the EHL. 


Before coming to AHA, Williams served as an assistant coach at Gilmour Academy in Cleveland, OH where he coached the Boys 16u and 18u Prep teams for two seasons. Prior to Gilmour, Williams was an assistant coach with the Wausau Cyclones of the NA3HL. Williams also coached for the Minnesota Northern Wings 18-U AAA team based in Duluth, Minn. He was a camp counselor at Hockey Ministries International in Fargo, N.D. and also works with the Heartland Hockey Camp in Deerwood, MN. 


Williams has also spent time as a scout for the Chippewa Steel and Kansas City Scouts in the North American Hockey League as well as with the Youngstown Phantoms in the USHL where he won the USHL Clark Cup in 2023. 


Williams grew up in Hermantown, MN where he attended both Hermantown High School and Duluth Denfeld High School before departing for junior hockey. Williams attended Bridgton Academy in Maine as a post-graduate and a boarding student in their residence hall where he played prep hockey and had a successful junior career in the EJEPL. 


Away from hockey, Williams is a Ballparker and intends on seeing every MLB ballpark by the year 2032. He also enjoys movies, hanging out with friends, traveling, golfing, and spending time at the lake.
