Chuck is a former professional hockey goaltender that played eight years pro in the old International Hockey League, American Hockey League, and East Coast Hockey League. After his playing days came to an end, Chuck spent the following two years as an assistant coach for the ECHL’s Mississippi SeaWolves. While playing and coaching, Chuck was also busy building his business, Southern Sports Supply, which he sold in 2011.


Before turning pro, Chuck attended Miami University (Ohio) graduating with a double major in Health and Sports Studies with a minor in Coaching. As a walk-on, Chuck worked his way up the depth chart and earned a scholarship his senior year, along with several league (CCHA) and team awards including goalie of the year, CCHA All-League, Miami University Athlete of The Year, team most valuable player and being named 1st Team All American. He was also the recipient of the Terry Flanagan Award honoring a player for perseverance, dedication, and courage while overcoming severe adversity.


Chuck has also coached on the international hockey stage, serving as the head coach and co-head coach for Team USA at The World Championships of Inline Hockey and The World Games. He helped guide Team USA to a bronze medal and five gold medal victories. He was also awarded the United States Olympic Committee Volunteer Coach of The Year award in 2011.


Chuck is the founder and CEO of Compassionate Connection. As a professional speaker and a certified Life, Relationship and Spiritual Coach, Chuck works with active and retired elite athletes assisting them to “Empower the Greatness Within”. He has walked the walk so he can talk the talk. Chuck is also the co-founder and host of the podcast Warriors Unmasked.
