American Hockey Academy Advisors

Along with in school counselors on the academic side the American Hockey Academy turns to its many NHL advisors for support of the program and players:

MIKE GRIER

  • 15 Year Professional career
  • Played for Buffalo, Edmonton, Washington, San Jose
  • Played over 1000 NHL games
  • Played local HS Prep school and Boston University
  • Current coach for our sister program Boston Junior Terriers

ANDREW RAYCROFT

  • 14-year professional career
  • Played for Boston, Vancouver, Dallas, Colorado, Toronto
  • Won the Calder Memorial Trophy
  • Assistant coach UCONN

CHRIS O’SULLIVAN

  • 7-year professional career (drafted after HS)
  • Played for Calgary, Vancouver, Anaheim
  • MVP on National Championship BU college team
  • Current NHL scout NY Islanders

MIKE MOTTAU

  • 14-year professional career
  • Played for NJ, Boston, Florida, NYR, Calgary, NYI
  • Won Hobey Baker award at Boston College (nations top collegiate player)
  • Currently Hosts national hockey podcast and cable hockey tv show

SHAWN BATES

  • 13-year professional career
  • Played for Boston, NY Islanders
  • 1995 National Champion at BU
  • Current Massachusetts HS coach
